Weight Loss - Removing Cellulite

For most women the part of their body they love to hate is their butt. Whatever the reason, one of the most common reasons given is that their butt has turned into a haven for cellulite.

What is cellulite? Cellulite is not a mysterious substance; it is just plain fat tissue. The reason why cellulite looks different than fat on other types of the body is because the fat cells in your body or commonly called adipose tissue expands, while your normal skin (connective tissue) stays the same causing the dimpling or cottage cheese affect.

There are many remedies to rid women of their cellulite issues. Most common are lotions, electrical stimulation and an assortment of herbal supplements. And many of these products have their loyal following, but for most people exercise is highly recommended.

Because cellulite is normal fat tissue, if you lose fat, theoretically you should also lose cellulite. However many women do have a problem of focusing their fat loss to this one area, whether the reason is genetics or other factors. Most weight trainers recommend an exercise program focusing on the toning the butt area. Unfortunately, this requires regular exercise which many people don't have time to do. So if you want to get rid of cellulite, experiment with cellulite product or talk to a weight trainer at your local gym.
